Softer, Flatter, No Extra Blast.
With the original, and best-selling Hellfire release in 2016 we packed everything we knew about making a good muzzle brake into one design. Now, years later, we went back to the drawing board with a deeper understanding of what a brake can and should do, and how it can make a rifle as manageable as possible as the bullet exits.
Introducing the Hellfire Match.
This 4-port design isn’t simply stacking more of the same design on the end, it’s a complete redesign with each port being different. Different length ports, different angle ports, and different height port optimizes each one to provide an ideal function based on the pressure and volume of gas being acted on at its position. This results in optimal recoil management, optimal muzzle rise control, and imparts no extra sound pressure at the shooter position.
Using our patented Hellfire Self-Timing system, this brake uses the same Hellfire Universal Adapters that have been in our lineup for years, and can integrate with your Suppressor Mounts, Hellfire, Hellfire 2P and Linear Flash Suppressor. While this will be the new flagship brake, it is very much a part of our super popular Hellfire family.
Caliber Selection
In order to simplify the choices, we have four caliber selections available for the HELLFIRE brake. The difference in efficiency between using a caliber specific brake bore, and the next size up is so minimal if not non existent that we decided to simplify things in order to lower overall costs to you the consumer. As you can imagine, trying to stock the exact quantities required of six or so different calibers would be impossible.
223/6mm – Good for any bullet caliber up to and including 0.243 (6mm), ie 223, 5.56 NATO, 204, 17 cal, etc
6.5mm – Good for any bullet caliber up to and including 0.264 (6.5mm), ie 257, (Magnums OK)
7mm/308 – Good for any bullet caliber up to and including 0.308, ie 7mm, 284, 270, (Magnums OK)
Notable Features
– Extremely easy installation, brake WILL NOT turn as you torque the collar to lock. No more guessing where the brake ports will line up once you tighten it down!
– Simple round knurled nut that requires no tools to time the brake.
– Return to zero is excellent. This means removal of your brake and re-installation will not require a zero change.
– Suppressor mount adapters available HERE
– Simply torque the universal adapter onto your barrel with a 5/8″ wrench, this piece never has to come off. Next, LEFT HAND thread the brake/collar assembly onto the adapter until it is almost snug. Now rotate the brake until it is level, push the brake into the adapter and you will feel it lock onto the taper. Now tighten the collar fully by hand, and you are done!
Here is a longer, very detailed video on the entire system and its components.
Maintenance
Maintenance on any muzzle brake is essential. Just like your barrel, muzzle brakes need cleaned. Over time carbon will build up in the ports, mainly the last port as the first two are semi-self cleaning from the muzzle blast. When this carbon builds up, it will eventually get to the point that bullets can actually strike it. Depending on your shooting regimen you may not notice this, you might just call it a flier. But in a competition when you need every round to impact, this is critical. Carbon bullet strikes are a worst case scenario, but the buildup can also cause accuracy or POI issues just due to airflow changes in the brake ports.
NOTE: The use of Lemishine (or any citric-acid cleaner) or CLR to clean your brake will likely discolor the black nitride, and will void the lifetime warranty of your product. Don’t do this. Seriously. It’ll turn pink and you’ll feel like an idiot.
- The best cleaning method for any muzzle brake is PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. If you clean the brake every time you clean the barrel (200-400 round intervals, shorter for 6mm rounds) it will make your life much much easier. With that being said, just soak the brake in a carbon cleaner like Boretech C4 and all the carbon should come right out, especially if you have a Black Nitride brake. Raw stainless brakes can be more challenging to clean because the surface is more porous. If necessary, you can use any kind of cleaning brush to aid in the removal of carbon from the ports. Black Nitride is harder than any material they attach to a brush, so you will not scratch the surface. Raw stainless may scratch if you use a stainless or other harder bristle brush.
- If you decide to wait until 1000 rounds or more, you will have a lot of carbon buildup in the 2nd and 3rd port which will take some effort to remove. Best method here is probably to soak for a day or two in C4 and use a pick to get the big chunks out. Then follow the above method to get the remainder off.
- You should also clean your Universal Adapter with the same care. Every time you clean your barrel, let the carbon cleaner from patching the barrel soak on the muzzle for a few minutes and use a q-tip to wipe any carbon from the barrel crown and inside the end of the adapter. Soak a patch in carbon cleaner and wipe the taper surface of the adapter off. If there is persistent carbon on the surface, use steel wool to remove, it will not damage the surface.
- Brakes should not be placed in a wet tumbler, specifically not one with pins or media of any sort. The small pins can work their way into the collar/retaining ring area, and this is likely to compromise the integrity of the retention device in the brake. Foreign material here can result in the brake becoming a projectile. This is not safe, and will void the product warranty.

Awesome
Billy M. (verified owner) –
The Hellfire Match brake is great!
Michael Davis (verified owner) –
Put this on my bergera b14 hmr. Let me tell you. It’s worth every penny. I can’t give an exact percentage, but it’s legit. I would guesstimate at least 60% in decreased muzzle rise, and recoil. That’s just playing the numbers safe. Def recommend.
Dakota Burnette (verified owner) –
Works amazing, reduces recoil
Anonymous (verified owner) –
newest brake on 7PRC tamed the recoil a lot, more pleasant to shoot, and spot hits
Michael W. (verified owner) –
Great recoil mitigation
Tom W. (verified owner) –
Very impressed with everything. In todays world it is hard to find products and service that exceed expectations.
Michael (verified owner) –
Aside from being loud as hellfire, the brake is awesome. The mounting system makes cleaning a simple process rather than a chore. A 300wm is no problem with this brake.
Darren I. (verified owner) –
Awesome brake got 6 of them on all my guns 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Jeremy F. (verified owner) –

Les M. –
Damn fine! Thats all there really is to say about this brake. Shoots as well as it looks on my Bergara Premier Competition Rifle. Especially in the raw polished steel finish. Would definitely buy again.

Dillion S. (verified owner) –
The brake works amazing!!! Took less than five minutes to install it. Significantly reduced recoil on my 300 PRC. Had to readjust the scope a little bit but I was expecting to have to do that. Thank you for an extremely well made product made in the greatest country on earth!!!
Peter R. (verified owner) –
Awesome muscle break
Jeff (verified owner) –
7prc took away most of the recoil
Mark W. (verified owner) –
Two stars because I do like the way this was developed and the way it secures to the barrel. However, this was not for me. Using my 20″ bolt 308, this had more recoil than my existing device. It also through my zero off 8 inches left. Could not reliably get it back on target. Not consistent. Area was great though, they sent me an RMA right away and minus shipping, a full refund. I will shop with them later for other things, just not muzzle devices.
Josh (verified owner) –
The brake works exactly as described. The reduction in muzzle rise surpassed my expectations. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s struggling with keeping their scope on target due to recoil.
I’m running a 16” carbon fiber barrel. The brake helps compensate for the lack of weight towards the front of my rifle.
Make sure you and your companions are wearing ear plugs + over the ear protection.
RIP to anyone shooting on the bench next to you.
Troy (verified owner) –
Awesome muzzle brake! It works great, and with the adapters it’s easy to use on multiple rifles.
James Raney (verified owner) –
I haven’t used it yet. it will be going on a Masterpiece 6mm GT rifle I just ordered. So, I’ll let you know.

Benedict Kreutzer (verified owner) –
Got the brake to go on a new proof barrel I ordered they canceled it with out a reason, had to reorder with Straight Jacket Armory, they said I have the best one for there barrel. Can’t wait to try it out when I get my new barrel.
Randy C. (verified owner) –
This is the 3rd Hellfire I have purchased for three different rifles. They work great and the self timing design is top notch.
Billy T. (verified owner) –

Michael (verified owner) –
Quality product.
Christian P. (verified owner) –
I love Area 419 and they have become my personal go-to for every new precision rifle build. I’ve installed Hellfire brakes on three of my tack drivers- a 6.5 Creedmoor MPA, 6.5 CM RPR and .308 APO Saber. They are a breeze to install and tame recoil incredibly well, allowing me to clearly spot impacts and get right back on target. A top quality, competitively-priced product from an awesome company.
Pete S. (verified owner) –
👍🏻
Benjamin Hodson (verified owner) –
This is my 5th or 6th? Used a bunch, and there is a reason why they are popular. I throw one on every barrel.
Every calibers recoil is reduced dramatically.

Jeffrey S. (verified owner) –
great muzzle break!
Peter Collins (verified owner) –
With my first small test this decreased my group size with two different types of factory ammunition
phillip (verified owner) –
A little bit of rockset on the universal adapter and this thing is bomb proof. Install was so easy it was a joke. All you need is a 5/8 combo wrench and you are set. As for the break itself, just eyeball the placement where your lines are approximately at 3 and 9 o’ clock and the caliber size is at 12 o’ clock and finger tighten down. Used it on a 20” proof carbon fiber 6.5CM barrel. The gun shoots incredibly flat with it attached!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Amazing break
Edik (verified owner) –
Amazing muzzle brake with nice color and finish, love it.
I wish you guys make the lock nut diameter little bit bigger to make the muzzle look more aggressive.

Perfection is hard to find!
Sean (verified owner) –
Super easy installation. Awesome recoil mitigation.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Easy install
Zack (verified owner) –
Genuinely one of the most efficient brakes I’ve ever used. It absolutely turned the donkey kick of a .300 Winchester Magnum into a pillow.
Used to have a limit on how many rounds I could go through in a session till my shoulder started to really get sore as I am a rather smaller framed person.
I could shoot this thing all day with this brake. Absolutely phenomenal performance. 10/10 & 5 stars
John Strubel (verified owner) –
Great product that really does reduce recoil.
Nelson Perez (verified owner) –
a little expensive but at the end it was worth it.
Ed Stewart (verified owner) –
Better than any other muzzle brake made
Steven (verified owner) –
Having seen it in action, and been recommended by expert shooters to me personally, this thing is a no-brainer
Jerry McVietty (verified owner) –

marlon caspe (verified owner) –
excellent
Mark (verified owner) –
Muzzle brake is quality made with a quality finish. I like that it can be removed from the adapter for cleaning verse unscrewing it constantly from the barrel itself. It reduced the recoil without blow back on the shooter.
Alexsey N. (verified owner) –
The first one arrived disassembled and dented. But customer support did it best to replace it asap. I am happy with my new compensator, reduce recoil significantly, looks nice and very easy to mount. Thanks

Kevin G. (verified owner) –
Looks well made, unfortunately this is a piece by piece build, so I’ll update as soon as a company wants to make a rifle….
Marshall (verified owner) –
Was having troubles with accuracy and recoil. Bought the Hellfire Match and accuracy increased a significant amount.
Josh Stemerick (verified owner) –
Everything is built to the highest quality, and preforms perfectly. I prefer the use of a can however when shooting matches it is not always practical, this brake preforms very well keeping the crosshair on target.
Todd S. (verified owner) –
Great brake at a great price.
Russel J. (verified owner) –
I absolutely satisfied with its performance and quality. It was so shiny I almost didn’t want to shoot it.
Bart R. (verified owner) –

William M. (verified owner) –
Work like it should.
bunderwood –
Bought the Hellfire Match for my Mossberg Patriot 6.5 PRC. Haven’t shot the rifle yet but this brake install was super easy. Anybody can do it and it looks really sharp!
David E. (verified owner) –
Easy to install, helps reduce muzzle jump way more than the factory radial brake. If using a bipod and I preload it by leaning into it, I can now maintain my sight picture and spot my hits or misses in 7mm PRC.
Josh (verified owner) –
I purchased a hellfire match muzzle brake to put on my Weatherby range 307 chambered in 300 win mag and everything I read said it was around a 50 percent reduction in felt recoil it definitely reduces the recoil by more then 50 percent my rifle weighs 6.5 pounds with the scope and it like shooting my ar chambered in 5.56 I highly recommend this break and I’m sure other Area 419 products are as good or better
Jimmy (verified owner) –
Great product, high quality.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Nicholas S. (verified owner) –

Jason R. (verified owner) –

J D. (verified owner) –
Does helluva job mitigating recoil on my 6.5 creedmoor. Tool less removal is a game changer and the big reason as why I have purchased this.
Travis M. (verified owner) –
Sleek, sexy and just plain awesome! It’s a well built product that is super easy to install and remove, glad I bought it!
Michael O. (verified owner) –
I own several standard and Match Hellfire brakes!
Max (verified owner) –
This is the second Muzzle brake I have purchased from Area 419. I haven’t used this one, it is for a new build, the other one I have is the Hellfire and it works as expected.
Richard (verified owner) –
Assume product! Currently running it in my Bergara B14 HMR in 308. Not that 308 recoils much but this Area 419 Hellfire Match Brake minimizes it so much. Has definitely helped with follow up shots in match competition.
James Heironimus (verified owner) –
I haven’t used the muzzle break you, but the workmanship is superb.
Brian (verified owner) –
I was able to take my rifle out and shoot it recently…man did this break change things. I am able to shoot my 7mm rem mag and not deal with the recoil. The difference is night and day.
Warren A. (verified owner) –
The best muzzle brake on the market.
Bob D. (verified owner) –
By far, one of my most preferred brakes!
kouzman –
Fantastic product. Used it to replace the factory radial brake on my 2020 Waypoint in 300 win mag. What a difference! I can easily stay on target shot after shot on my 3000+ fast handloads with 178 eld-x. Installation was a breeze and probably one of the easiest brakes to time level to the rifle. Now if you can only make in Titanium!

Mark S. (verified owner) –
Surprising reduction in recoil as compared to other brakes. Unique engineering. This is the second purchase this month. They are going on all my guns. Needs as crush washer to immobilize the adapter during continued firing.

Dakota Pennington (verified owner) –
Easy to Install , Takes away nearly all Recoil on my 6.5 PRC
Michael N. (verified owner) –
Fantastic break design!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Performs phenomenally. Reduced recoil more than my suppressor and I was able to trace shots for the first time ever. The self timing feature is awesome. I was able to swap it between my couple of guns, and let my dad and a buddy try it out on their guns too, all in one range trip. It sounds like both of them will be ordering themselves some soon!
CHARLES KNUTH (verified owner) –
EXCELLENT
Johnny C. (verified owner) –
Outstanding break, never thought I would spend this type of money for a break but it’s worth it.

This is the second Hellfire Match that I have bought. The first one works very effectively on 308 Win, and I assume I’ll be happy with this one also. The machine taper installation design on these is great! It makes them VERY convenient to own and use. Also, the subtle design details and overall quality is superb (a term I rarely find occasion to use these days). Well done!
CHARLES G. (verified owner) –
Second time ordering this brake. Won’t buy another for 308. Fit and finish is perfect, quality is and 11 out of 10. Time from ordering to delivery is faster than most, almost Amazon prime shipping times. Great company, great product. Super happy. Definitely recommend.
James T. (verified owner) –
Beautiful build. Excellent brake.
Steve McConnell (verified owner) –
Love It
Kirk A. (verified owner) –
Put this on my .300 WinMag. Could not believe how much this reduces the recoil. EXCELLENT!!
Kent Rawlins (verified owner) –
Effective keeps thew target in sight – slight change of zero but that is expected as if weighed more than the brake I had on the gum different harmonics

Very nice, well designed, very precise. Love self tuning
Steve Erkens (verified owner) –

Fit and finish are spot on! Awesome recoil reduction, but a little on the loud side. Highly recommend!
Nick j. (verified owner) –
Seems very well made. Fit and finish were great.
Kirk (verified owner) –
Have these on almost every rifle I own. Nothing better when running a suppressor on multiple rifles. The brakes really help with felt recoil and you can clean them is a snap.
Richard P. (verified owner) –
Makes my 6.5 CM shoot like a 22.
John (verified owner) –
This thing is extremely easy to install and time. I thought it was an exaggeration but it’s not. Love this thing.

Logan Z. (verified owner) –
Bought for my bolt action 300 win mag savage 110. Fit perfect right out of the box and shot it right after a quick install. Remember to always wear hearing protection when using any muzzle brake, ran my left ear once with it and i wont ever again. I would highly recommend an area419 muzzle brake to anyone in the market for one.

Craig L. (verified owner) –
Perfect upgrade from my regular hellfire brake. Definitely helped tighten my groups.
Clint M. (verified owner) –
Did not affect accuracy
David DeGeorge (verified owner) –
I’ve always shot suppressed but started shooting some local prs match’s and wanted to see if a muzzle break had any advantages . Yes it does sure it has more noise than suppressed but holy S$%^ that muzzle doesn’t more an inch ! And when I want to shoot suppressed just take off the hellfire and screw on the thunder beast and way we go lol
george fisher (verified owner) –
Sweet, no issues Work of art and science.
Ron (verified owner) –
I like it! Keeps me on target to see the impacts down range. As a solo hunter that’s important to me.
Keith F. (verified owner) –
To me they are the best brakes out there
Reinaldo Vaillant (verified owner) –
Great construction and performance
Scott C. (verified owner) –
Really awesome to be able to spot impacts and this brake allows that.
John E. (verified owner) –
Awesome!
Thomas McTernan (verified owner) –
Seems like there’s become an insurmountable number of offerings available these days and all claim to be the best, so I did a great deal of research in trying to locate the finest to meet my needs for superior recoil reduction. I decided on the Area 419 Hellfire Match for my long range 6.5 Creedmoor precision long range rifle. I was definitely not disappointed. The quality is unsurpassed by any other manufacturer.
Joshua S. (verified owner) –
One of the most popular for a reason
Ardy (verified owner) –
Tamed the beast. My 7 PRC kicks less than my .308 now!
Michael Baker (verified owner) –
Easy to install and works as advertised
Alex (verified owner) –
Sick break
Bill (verified owner) –
Very easy to install. Seems to help with recoil
Hunter Bagwell (verified owner) –
This thing is amazing. I have one for my 6.5 Creed and one I share among all my 7mm, and .300 rifles. Does its job and knocking down recoil significantly for all of them and just looks badass to boot.
George Gianakis (verified owner) –
Take my money
David P. (verified owner) –
Been running one of these in 6mm for competitions for a couple seasons and tried something simpler and cheaper for larger calibers before retiring them and getting a 30 cal Hellfire Match. The other ones were either less effective or kicked enough concussion back into my face to be distracting. The Hellfire is the perfect combination of superb recoil reduction and limited blast to the shooter. It’s still as obnoxious as any other brake to anyone not directly behind the rifle (and will clean shooting benches two spots away) but to the shooter the recoil reduction feels “free”. Add in the taper mount that makes clocking trivial and has perfect return to zero (convenient when cleaning after every match) and I’ll not choose anything else going forward.
Debra F. (verified owner) –
This is my third muzzle break on three separate calibers. They reduce the felt recoil by 30% and keeps the barrels about as flat as they can get. I’ll be buying more from Area 419.
Steven (verified owner) –
It is what it is these days…
David S. (verified owner) –
Great price for a great product!!!
Albert Hendricks (verified owner) –
100% worth it
Keith F. (verified owner) –
I bought the .30cal for my 7mm mag and the recoil is very light for the caliber. I put 20 rounds down range and I have no sore shoulder. Awesome
Lance N. (verified owner) –
Arrived as described, super easy installation and quality looking product. Excited to shoot with it this week!

Have not put on yet waiting on mpa arms building my ba comp pro rifle 2. Have this same model on my 6.5 prc love these brakes going to switch rest of guns to this brake.
Dylan (verified owner) –
I have been trying a few others trying to hold accuracy and with the least amount of recoil/muzzle rise and this is by far the best brake on the market. I installed this on my AR-10. Price is fair considering other decent muzzle brakes
Brent Huntsman (verified owner) –
I have 3 Hellfire Match Setups on rifles and there is nothing better. Love the control and ability to follow through the shot and more importantly spot the rounds. Great service and company!! Thank You!!!!
Seymour (verified owner) –
Excellent product
Anonymous (verified owner) –
very pleased, fits and functions as advertised very good customer service, plan on another caliber in the future.did have to make slight load data adjustment but went from .600 moa group to .400 moa group and is repeatable after removing and reinstalling brake.
Rashed Aljaloud (verified owner) –

Victor Nicolas (verified owner) –

LEWIS TURPIN (verified owner) –

Daniel Reich (verified owner) –

Benjamin Apple (verified owner) –
The Hellfire, in my opinion, sets the standard for stabilty balanced with dependability. The ease of cleaning and installation make this brake the best of breed.
Shaun O. (verified owner) –
Love it
Nir Shpindler (verified owner) –
Love Area 419!
Will (verified owner) –
I went with the match brake to hopefully be able to stay in glass and on target during matches. It was everything I could have wanted. Super simple to install and from 250 yards and beyond I can keep my target in glass to call my own shots. It’s a great product!
Jeffrey T. (verified owner) –
So far it’s been great.
Phillip H. (verified owner) –
Love it. Makes my 300 Win shoot like a .243
Barry Moore (verified owner) –
This brake is the best and it so simple to go between it and a can. I have 1 on all my hig power rifles it thay have threads.
Joshua Mize (verified owner) –
Works great with the 300wm.
Scott S. (verified owner) –
I purchased a Sidewinder Muzzle Brake a few months ago for my 7MM RM. It was so overwhelmingly successful I decided to purchase a Hellfire Match Muzzle Brake for a new 7MM-08. Both of these products have exceeded my expectations. The felt recoil from both the Magnum and the 08 are less than my .243 with a 100 grain cartridge. If I didn’t experience it myself, I would say it’s unbelievable. But I have… and it’s not… The Hellfire Match also does a great job of quelling the muzzle rise. Well done guys. It is sooo great to have such a tremendously successfully engineered product from a U.S. company. Bravo!
James Chisom (verified owner) –
I have owned several muzzle brakes and the hellfire is my go to.
Kurt Hauschka (verified owner) –

Tim (verified owner) –
Great muzzle brakes! I have the original on a 6.5 creedmore bolt rifle and the match on a 6.5 creedmore AR10.
DWAYNE GRIGGS (verified owner) –
Perfect for my needs
Scott H. (verified owner) –
Amazing! The installation on the gun took minutes. And only one time!!! I’m 72 years old, and while pretty handy, it usually takes me several try’s to get things right. Not this, it works exactly as advertised.
Shot several 3 round groups at 300 yards and most 1/2 moa or less. Did need to re-zero but precision does not seem to be affected.
Ronald S. (verified owner) –
Great
Conrad (verified owner) –
works good at muzzle rise & shipping process was excellent
Neely (verified owner) –
I installed this on my lightweight Proof Research Mountain .300 PRC and it significantly cut the recoil. It feels about like a 6.5 Creedmoor now. Highly recommend!

John Becker (verified owner) –
Excellent workmanship and very easy to install.
Scott B. (verified owner) –
Insane difference! My son and I are avid hunters and plink around the backyard throughout the year. We have friends that are neighbors to the company, and have watched them and their videos/posts over the last couple of years. Having a couple of AR rifles with various brakes, I’ve never noticed a difference in recoil, more noise directional than anything. Hesitant to spend the $200, when it could go towards more ammo…. Wow, pleasantly surprised!! Don’t mind the video language, more for the company than anything, but had to see if it truly made a difference to keep the muzzle down range and easy to get to the next target. The first shot with the brake thread adaptor installed, next with the Hell Fire Match brake installed. Gun: Savage 110 Ultra Lite Hunter.308
Will be ordering others for the various thread sizes and calibers! Thanks Area 419!! Real Deal!!
Adrian Dumlao (verified owner) –

Best brake on the market
Benjamin Apple (verified owner) –
Best brake on the market.
Robert E. (verified owner) –
Installed on a Tikka T3X TAC A1 .308. Top quality product, machining and finish is excellent, easy to install and effective at reducing felt recoil. Self timing fitting and the level mark on the front face makes it easy to remove for cleaning and reinstall.
Richard Petersen (verified owner) –
Good product.
Jose (verified owner) –
Have not had a chance to mount and use the muzzle break I purchased however it seem to be of good quality and will update my review once I use it…

Brian (verified owner) –
Have not had it long enough to give it 5
Charles Cowart (verified owner) –
Best Muzzle Brake on the market!
Mike (verified owner) –
Very little muzzle rise. Some lateral movement but target still in scope picture. Recoil reduction was noticeable. Probably close to 50%. (just a guess). As I said easy install. Aligning ports simple.

David H. (verified owner) –
Fantastic recoil reduction.good looks. Very easy installation
Verified Buyer (verified owner) –
This break is so easy to install it is amazing, if you have ever messed with peel washers and ever had to time traditional breaks you will understand how easy this break is. As far as effective it reduces recoil amazing and makes the gun much more enjoyable.
Everett (verified owner) –
Its appears to operate as advertised
Brent (verified owner) –
Beautiful product!
Turned the mule into a kitten.
American craftsmanship/ ingenuity at the highest level.

Great product, easy to install
John (verified owner) –
Incredibly easy to install. Around 200 rounds thought it to date. Substantial felt recoil reduction. Easy to clean and re-install. I really couldn’t ask for much more.
Verified Buyer (verified owner) –
Only system I use now!
Shane C. (verified owner) –
Amazing product, great quality . Hellfire match makes my 7mm a dream.
Todd Stoughton (verified owner) –
This muzzle break is a work of art. I put this on a Ruger RPR 6.5 Creedmoor. My oem break was a nightmare to take off and adjust. I needed to use a big steel bar to get the thing to spin. The Area 419 unit uses a knurled hand tightened collar that doesn’t need tools. What a great idea! Once the break was on the gun it was just a matter of sight adjustments (by hand) to set it in a perfectly clocked orientation to send the gasses at 90 degree angles to the gun. So much easier than the oem break.
Well worth the cost. And it looks awesome in stainless.
Todd
Cassidy Wulf (verified owner) –
Everything fits and looks great…I unfortunately haven’t had time to shoot it due to the kiddo hunting with the rifle but he says no noticable recoil at all while hunting with the 6.5 prc.
Justin McLaughlin (verified owner) –
This is the real deal. Best brake I have ever used.
Gregory B. (verified owner) –
Best muzzle brake!
Jacob E. (verified owner) –
Love the Hellfire fits great on my Bergara Hmr pro, really helps mitigate recoil!
Mohamad Alhaffar (verified owner) –
Very good product
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Didn’t try it yet, but install was effortless.
Jeremy (verified owner) –
Easy to install. Great recoil impulse.
Travis C. (verified owner) –
Beyond impressed with this brake by far the best I’ve owned or ever shot!
Robert T. (verified owner) –
Works great on my 6.5CM Proof Carbon barrel. Any manufacturer didn’t dampen the muzzle rise since the carbon barrel is much lighter than steel. Area 419’s works perfectly so can see hits on steel from 200 to 800+ yards.
Dave (verified owner) –
Best brake on the market, have several and is the only one I will put on my rifles. Area 419 has the best customer service and always quick shipping.
Edwin B. (verified owner) –
installed easy have not got to shoot yet, very nice looking
Cody F. (verified owner) –
Great brake. Good Instructional videos online to make instalation a breeze. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and would recommend it for anyone.
Rodney B. (verified owner) –
I love the quality, ease and flexibility of mounting and effectiveness of this product. Like every other Area 419 product I’ve purchased this one is top of the line.

very well built flawless machining easy install, mounted on a 7PRC light weight mountain rifle.
scott crabbs (verified owner) –
Significantly reduced muzzle jump and over all recoil, compared to my previous brake
Thomas (verified owner) –
Super easy to install on my rifle and keeps the rise to a minimum. I can spot my own shots through the scope.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great product
Hoffmann (verified owner) –
Dramatically reduces recoil and extremely easy install.
Robert Woods (verified owner) –
Looks awesome on my gun can’t wait to shoot my gun!
Edward soto (verified owner) –
Good value
Robert D. (verified owner) –
Replaced my factory MPA 4 port muzzle brake which works extremely well already… the Hellfire Match works better. Wasn’t expecting this as the real reason I switched was to keep all my adapters in the hellfire family to work with the Area419 SilencerCo suppressor adapter so the fact that it also performs better than the MPA brake was a bonus!
Michael M. (verified owner) –
Absolute removed recoil. I didn’t think my 6.5 could shoot softer but I was wrong. I’ve started missing because I anticipate the recoil that once was but is no more. Learning curve to get used to but an amazing product!
Jeff Ostrom (verified owner) –
Love it, the reduced recoil is A+ and it tighted the MOA on my .280AI by .250! Rifle Guru
Peter Russell (verified owner) –
Awesome quality products
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Just great
Garrett (verified owner) –
Decided to try this out coming from another brand of muzzle device and holy cow. This thing is awesome!
Matthew A. (verified owner) –
In an age where brakes are all claiming they are the best and costing more and more, the area419 is tried and true and just works.
Robert F. (verified owner) –
Very nice, but I have to constantly hand tighten it about every 10 rounds !!!
ROBERT RABER (verified owner) –
Really quick delivery, and really good quality
As is everything I’ve purchased from you.
Eric G. (verified owner) –
The Hellfire Match was unbelievably easy to install and made my 7mm Rem Mag a dream to shoot. My .243 Win has more recoil than my 7mm Rem Mag with this muzzle brake. I was able to shoot 300-600 yards and see the steel move in my scope with little to no adjustments to get back on target.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
As advertised. Easy install, immediate results.
David Richardson (verified owner) –
This brake works like a champ on a 7 PRC
SANDIE MOREHEAD (verified owner) –
Love the Hellfire Match. Have it on three of my rifles!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Did a great job of reducing felt recoil on 308
David Melland (verified owner) –
Looks great. Easy installation. Just need to get to the range and test it out.
Triston (verified owner) –
Was easy to install and takes enough recoil out to hold on the target. Only used once so far, but is noticeably better than anything ive used before.
Edward Bednarz (verified owner) –
Best product
Dennis F. (verified owner) –
I just bought the match hellfire. Cannot believe how it performed as it was beyond my expectations.
Quentin (verified owner) –
Keeping my hole puncher precise!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Worth every penny
BRIAN (verified owner) –
Installed on 6 CM, barely moves and love it.
Justin Reese (verified owner) –
Run it on my 300prc, works very well for recoil
Anthony K. (verified owner) –
Great experience
Anthony Dickman (verified owner) –
Great looking muzzle break. Haven’t shot it yet!!! Looking forward to it!!!
Douglas (verified owner) –
Great product, great design. Works great. Got mine in stainless so I could soak it in CLR for cleaning. Make sure your threaded muzzle is .600 but not longer or you will need to have it cut back and re-crowned. The muzzle adapter piece is made for exactly .600.
LaMar Hemric –
BEST BRAKE ON THE MARKET! Not only does it all but eliminate felt recoil, but the fact that I can run 500 rounds through my bolt gun and still have the ability to remove it by hand is mind blowing. Stop searching. Buy it now, and thank me later!
tim (verified owner) –
Everything these guys make is first class!
Steven (verified owner) –
Absolutely love this design ! Great job area 419
Michael Y. (verified owner) –
I don’t have much experience with other brakes, but this thing was well worth the money. I can’t believe how much it reduced the recoil of my 6.5 CM rifle. Install was super easy too.
Blake R. (verified owner) –
.
Josh (verified owner) –
I shot my 28 nosler with and without this brake. Wow. What a difference. With the brake I’d compare it to a .308 in regards of felt recoil. This is on a very lightweight rifle with a carbon fiber barrel. Without, it made shooting not very pleasurable. Worth every penny. I do wish area 419 would list the dimensions in the specs.
Ian S. (verified owner) –
Looks amazing. Have yet to try it but if it’s anything like a hellfire I’m sure it’s going to be great!
Darryl H. (verified owner) –
I don’t think that there is a muzzle brake that is easier to install our transfer between weapons!
Jose Mato (verified owner) –
I have three of the original Hell Fire Brakes. However, this one really does control the recoil very well. Will definitely will upgrade my other Hell Fire Brakes.
Xopher B. (verified owner) –
Best in the business
Clint Smith (verified owner) –
I installed installed the Hellfire Match muzzle break on my 308 Win and it greatly reduced the muzzle jump and recoil. Installation was simple and quick. Great product. I’m going to purchase this break again as soon as they are back in stock to go on my wife’s 308 Win.
Steven G. (verified owner) –
Great
JOHN CANADAY (verified owner) –
This is the second one… best brake ever and easy to install especially with the HELLFIRE wrench. I have one more rifle that needs a brake so I’ll soon be ordering another one!
Service could not be better!
Very best wishes to you guys…
Paul (verified owner) –
The match is an improvement over the original however, both breaks are excellent.
Willard Hay (verified owner) –
Fabulous product eliminated almost all my muzzle jump and felt recoil. My five year old loves shooting my creedmore with me now .
Peter D. (verified owner) –
Love it … best out there!!
Terry S. (verified owner) –
It was very simple to install on my firearm. The recoil reduction was great. On my 30-06 it’s little more than my .223.
Lauren (verified owner) –
The best
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Better than my “bastard” models
Brandon Harrington (verified owner) –
The nicest muzzle break ever! Hands down, the best.
andrew bresolin (verified owner) –
Great at reducing recoil. Keeps muzzle on target. High quality construction and very easy to install.
Julio –
It is an incredible muzzle brake, in design, finish and precision, I put it on my CZ557 Varmint synthetic heavy barrel, and it seems that it came from the factory, it fit like a glove and the recoil was reduced by about 60%, I am very happy with it he, I highly recommend him
Robert Rodriguez (verified owner) –
Put this thing on in less than two minutes, very intuitive and simple. Used it for the first time this weekend at the MDT Hunter challenge in Arbuckle CA, performed great!! Seriously reduced scope jump and made the recoil feel almost non existent. Great product guys!!
Brad M. (verified owner) –
Works as advertised
Bruce A. (verified owner) –
Best brake I have ever used. Highly recommend.
Michael (verified owner) –
Parts could always be a little cheaper…lol. The quality is great.
Jason B. (verified owner) –
My experience with the Hellfire Match is on my 6GT with 26” Bartlein . Point of impact shifted 1 mil low at 100 yards but man did it tame that rifle and barely moves during shots. Brake is awesome ! I would highly recommend
Simon C. (verified owner) –
Best muzzle device on the market. Wouldn’t chose anyone else.
Terry (verified owner) –
I have one on a .308 and a 30-06 it tamed the recoil down drastically to where you could shoot all day and not have a tender shoulder. I’m going to do two more of my rifles another 30-06 and a 300 rum. I strongly recommend this break.
Roger S. (verified owner) –
Works great, fit and finish are top shelve
Brent Huntsman (verified owner) –
Crazy nice! Easy to install/time. Excellent sight picture retention and that was the overall goal. Yes significant recoil reduction however that wasn’t the goal. Pleasure to shoot and a must try to believe!! Just buy the Hellfire Match as you will be very happy you did!!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
well made and installing was easy
Larry Scott (verified owner) –
This piece is the crown jewel of a dream rifle I just built. So glad Dillen Easley pointed me your way!
Richard P. (verified owner) –
Waiting for my rifle to be finished getting built, have not used this brake yet, the sidewinder i used was amazing though
Dylan B. (verified owner) –
Perfect
Alan M. (verified owner) –
Outstanding performance as I discovered the Hellfire match grade brake from a friend and same on my purchase and have a friend who is ordering three port Hellfire
Anonymous (verified owner) –
BEST MUZZLE BRAKE EVER !!!!
Zachary (verified owner) –
Looks amazing and performs even better
Blaine (verified owner) –
Love the product reduces recoil by a noticeable amount.
BRENT M. (verified owner) –
Super easy to install and looks really nice. I had to use a different adapter for M18x1 that makes it look a little big, but I still like it better than other brakes I have tried.
Mark Patterson (verified owner) –
Just a work of art machining. Beautiful piece!!
Tommy Dubé (verified owner) –
Didn’t shoot yet but fit and finish is very good quality and easy to install.
Mark W. (verified owner) –
Another quality product from Area 419.
Rob Kosack (verified owner) –
Excellent break
Steven D. (verified owner) –
Love the muzzle brake on my Seekins Havak HIT 6mm Creedmoor. Already a low recoil caliber but with the brake it is virtually eliminated.
Rick Gochenouer (verified owner) –
Thank you
Tony Sanabria (verified owner) –
Good system.
Mark B. (verified owner) –
Easy install. This brake came very highly recommended by other shooters with the same/similar set up as mine.
Gerald (verified owner) –
Great design
Randall Strom (verified owner) –
I now have 2 Hellfire and 1 Hellfire match brakes. I purchased the Match for a 300 PRC that I am building but haven’t completed the build to test it on, so I tested on my 7 SAUM side by side with my regular Hellfire that I shoot on this rifle regularly.
There wasn’t a lot of noticeable recoil reduction but there was a lot less rifle upset! Meaning that I never lost my sight picture. I’m sure when the 300 PRC build is completed in early 2023 there will be a very noticeable recoil reduction.
Travis Cano (verified owner) –
Amazing product. Keeps the rifle flat
Christopher D. (verified owner) –
if these came in titanium it would be awesome.
david c. (verified owner) –
Cuts down on recoil. Its great!
Tommy (verified owner) –
Brake went on a savage 110 elite 308 win. I have not had a chance to shoot the gun combo yet. But. Have the same hell fire match brake on my 6.5 creedmoor an it is awsome. Gun hardly moves As with all brakes. Wear ear/hearing protection be safe
Anonymous (verified owner) –
So easy to install (for a newb) and looks beautiful.
Kenneth Anderson (verified owner) –
put this break on a 16” ar Odin barrel. Never tuned gas, running pretty hot load and weapon stays on target for follow ups. Intermediate gas may help too. I think I will ask joe Brandon what he’s told to think about this. Thanks.
Chris F. (verified owner) –
Purchased the 30cal version for a lighter weight .308 build intended for hunting, team matches, and NRL Hunter. Really flattens the recoil. Keeping POA on plate (IPSC) at 600yds with 155gr bullets and less than 2mil off plate with 175gr bullets. Both loads fairly warm. Keep in mind this is a 14.5lb setup, not a 20lb+ PRS rig. Super happy with the performance. Will be getting another in 6.5mm for my 25x47L and .257 RobAI.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I’ll never run another brake after using this.
Alex (verified owner) –
My absolute favorite device! 😍

CAROL C. (verified owner) –
BEST PRODUCT TO ENHANCE MY SHOOTING EXPERIENCE I HAVE FOUND IN 30 YEARS!
Eric (verified owner) –
My daughter says the only way she knows the Sig Cross in 6.5 creedmore has fired is by sound now. Recoil is gone.
Sean Hines (verified owner) –
This is my 4th brake. Should tell readers something about the quality. Certainly recommend.
William C. (verified owner) –
I am new to the muzzle break game but this break is truly amazing. Makes my 6.5 PRC feel like I’m shootings a .22. Still able to shoot one moa groups so it also does not effect the accuracy
Michael (verified owner) –
Great product! I have one on each rifle so I can easily change from the brake to the suppressor.
Emil (verified owner) –
The product is amazing. I got the hellfire match for my 308 Tikka, and wow what a difference. Day and night. Def the most effective part on my rifle now. It was super easy to install.
Chad W. (verified owner) –
Expensive but I have every expectation that it will be well worth it.

Neil H. (verified owner) –
Fit, finish and function are all outstanding. Installs in less than 30 seconds. Superb recoil reduction. The only brake I use. Have about 10 of them…
James Smith (verified owner) –
Nice fit. Reduced recoil substantially.
Steven A. (verified owner) –
I am giving the muzzle brake a rating of 5/5 at this time however I have not shot the rifle with it as of yet. What really turned me on to it is the engineering not only within the brake but also within the attachment fitting. The method of attachment is simple, absolutely solid, and allows the brake to be easily tuned or removed for quick cleaning and reassembly. If I want to transfer the brake to another rifle, I can do it at the cost of purchasing another attachment lug for that other rifle which saves me a ton of money.
Don’t be fooled by other brakes that report loosening over time or by product marketing teams that suggests you need to glue the actual brake to the barrel. That seems ridiculous to me, and it’s a sign that those organizations need to redesign their products.
The 419 brake is clearly engineered better then anything else that I reviewed and the purchase was a no brainer for me. Now all I need to do is to see how it performs at the range.
Ronald Ewer (verified owner) –
Missed the info it was a 6.5 I wanted 30 cal but I can used this

Best brake I’ve used so far, does a great job reducing recoil and installation is too easy.
John V. (verified owner) –
Works great on my 6.5 Creedmoor, looks great too!
Ken Y. (verified owner) –
The craftsmanship is superb. I can not quantify the recoil better than other muzzle break I have, but this muzzle break build quality is superb.
Rick (verified owner) –
I tried thee APA Little Bastard but wasn’t happy with the way it mounts. It kept coming loose. So I bought the Hellfire match and I gotta say, WAY better than the APA. More recoil reduction and I have yet to have to re-tighten it to the barrel. I wish I had just bought the Hellfire from the beginning.
John K. (verified owner) –
Looks bad ass and greatly cut down on the recoil.
Luiza B. (verified owner) –
Very happy with the purchase
Eric S J. (verified owner) –
Outstanding brake that is noticeably better than competitive brakes I have used

Awesome muzzle brake, does wonders on a 6 Creed!
Paul H. (verified owner) –
Have two of them now! Liked the one I put on my 6mm so much I ordered another one for my 308.
James M. (verified owner) –
I’ve purchased numerous regular hellfire brakes, this is my first match brake, as always it’s well made and performs exceptionally, I would recommend 100% for larger calibers where recoil is felt a tad more. This purchase was for an AR Platform 6 ARC.
Terence F. (verified owner) –
Works quite effectively with my Proof Research MTR in 6.5 PRC.
Robert Jensen (verified owner) –
Preforms beyond expectations
Darren I. (verified owner) –

RICHARD MRDALJ (verified owner) –
Have 5 of them now. Best brake on the market by far.
Jacque B. (verified owner) –
One of the best brakes out there.
Daniel D. (verified owner) –
I was skeptical about the reduction in perceived recoil, but I can confirm the reduction is indeed dramatic. It does make my Sig Sauer Cross sound louder, but not noticeably so for the shooter, just for people in adjacent shooting benches.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Excellence… Product/Service From beginning to delivery, Excellent product design, superb recoil reduction and no blowback to shooter! Used Teflon tape on threads- brake to adapter/ hand tighten, Works well…Truely self timing as advertised!

The Hellfire Match is a significant improvement over my other brake reducing recoil and faster follow up shots.
Jesse Smith (verified owner) –
This brake is incredible on a HOT 270 Win. No lift and no recoil.
Warren Woods (verified owner) –
A++
Kathi C. (verified owner) –
Definitely a quality made product. Worked as advertised

I’m very satisfied with it
Would definitely recommend
Efren R. (verified owner) –
Very easy to install, but I can’t say how well it works since the weather is not permitting me to hit the range just yet.
Ryan –
I just shot my first match with this brake. It literally changed my world. I shoot a 6 creed at 3110 and i can see every shot i take even on a wobbly barricade. Holy s*** this thing is awesome!

Nick N. (verified owner) –
My first brake! Works great and simple installation.
Ernie B. (verified owner) –
Looks great, quality machine work, great brake
Daniel B. (verified owner) –
MY DD Delta 5 bolt action came with the Hellfire. I like it much better than what i was using on the AR10 so I thought I give the Hellfire Match a go at it. Nice notable difference over competition. Swapped Hellfire Match over to the Bolt action and compared the Hellfire to the Hellfire Match and liked the Match a bit more ,,,, then purchased another Match. Predictable recoil and muzzle control,, Sound and back wash are less than competition in my opinion. I do like Hellfire and the Hellfire Match
Charles McCarty (verified owner) –
Replaced the short fatbastard, noticeable difference in barrel bounce
salvatore corrao (verified owner) –

Incredible muzzle brake. Makes my 7 SAUM feel like a little more than a .223.
Steven Daniels (verified owner) –
Quality looks great but haven’t had time to use it yet
David Pokorski (verified owner) –
hey 👋 guys. I used the cash that my family gave me for my 41 birthday to get a match hellfire break. I put it on my HS Precision HTR in 308. Man what a difference did it make. 👏 Much better at staying on target. Felt recoil was cut by 25 or better. Really great stuff. 👍 👌 👏. With the first pull of the trigger I knew it was a great product. I will be a customer for life.
thanks.
D. Pokorski
Alex B. (verified owner) –

I love everything AREA 419! All of my custom builds have AREA 419 parts and they always preform flawlessly.
Watson Defty (verified owner) –
The best self timing break
Jesse (verified owner) –
Pleased with my purchase, easy to install and makes a noticeable difference in performance of my rifle
Chris J. (verified owner) –
Awesome product! Best in class
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Didn’t quite go on as instructions or video explained, but worked as claimed. Was a little hesitant to purchase based on some commentary on message boards, but as far as MY rifel, immediate, noticeable performance improvement.
Danny Y. (verified owner) –
Break works for my .300wm perfectly.
Shawn S. (verified owner) –
Looks awesome. haven’t got to shoot with it yet but definitely looking forward to it.
loren fondse (verified owner) –
All I can say is WOW! This brake absolutely solidifies the fact that not all muzzle brakes are the same. It’s no wonder that the top Pro’s use this Hellfire Match 4 slot brake. I was hesitant to spend this much on a brake for a big barreled AR10 6.5CM bench princess. But I was very wrong – it’s worth every penny! A 6th star for this review isnt high enough. Huge thank you to the design team!! ~ Fonzerelly73
Matt Arkins (verified owner) –
The brake that all others aspire to be.
Jason (verified owner) –
Awesome product and quality second to none.
Douglass F Shannon (verified owner) –

Logan G. (verified owner) –
Amazing quality. the mount is genious and works perfectly.
David L. (verified owner) –
Beautiful machining and design.
Grant R. (verified owner) –
I had a quick sneaky look before it got wrapped and put under the Christmas tree. First impressions were Wow. I can’t wait to get it at Christmas and finally get to shoot it.
Mitchell (verified owner) –
I installed it on a precision 300 wm and it was everything advertised. It not only kept me on target reducing muzzle jump and twist in order to see my hits or misses. It also dramatically reduced felt recoil without any extra noise coming back to me. It was a snap to install.
Anthony C. (verified owner) –
Awesome product !
Shane B. (verified owner) –
Exceptional machining quality, well designed. Love the option of easy removal, enables me to also shoot F Class (no brake permitted) without doing a kabuki dance of removing and reinstalling the brake. Well done!
Brian Z. (verified owner) –
I love the look and I am now able to track my shots. Works great on my 300 PRC. Kept my muzzle down and felt recoil seems to be cut in half!
Joseph Robles (verified owner) –
Fit and finish are perfect, I’m really excited to add on to my long range rifle build
james h. (verified owner) –
You can absolutely be assured , that 419’s breaks are the easiest and best breaks that you can buy. I now own 4.
Jason A. (verified owner) –
Definitely reduced the felt recoil, installation was a walk in the park (and I’ve never installed a muzzle device before)
brigham a. (verified owner) –
Impeccable machining, looks more like a miniature
suppressor baffle than a muzzle brake! Screw on locking feature threads on like a micrometer! Top notch construction! Hope to be able to test it soon, Club range is closed for renovations.
Hank (verified owner) –
The best brakes on the market
Scott D. (verified owner) –
Excellent Quality
Randall Glach (verified owner) –
Feel like possibly 50% reduction in recoil
Kevin M. (verified owner) –
I’ll start by saying my first Hellfire break made a night and day difference on my 6.5 CM. So when I got my AR I replaced that one also. The last one I got I gave it to my son so he can’t complain that I have an advantage 😉
JOHN B. (verified owner) –
High quality as always with 419… Keep the awesomeness up guys!
Scott M. (verified owner) –
Another great muzzle device, noticeably softer than the 3 port Hellfire which has been my standard.
Thomas P. (verified owner) –
I bought a lot of brakes for my .308. This is by far the best in terms of recoil reduction and installation. Absolutely love it
Jim (verified owner) –
The craftsmanship far exceed my expectations. Still waiting on the barrel to arrive to proof test it.
Terry (verified owner) –
Really great better than original hellfire . But is just one man’s opinion.
Keith Minard (verified owner) –
I had been using a hellfire on my 6.5 and just recently ordered a match brake after RO’ing a shooter at a recent match this fall who was using a match brake. Just being next to the shooter you could see and feel the difference.
David A. (verified owner) –
Great brake, great muzzle interface, excellent quality all around.
Sovida T. (verified owner) –
Can’t wait to run this next season
Craig (verified owner) –
It’s beautiful, waiting on other parts to complete build. No doubts it will perform.
Donald W. (verified owner) –
Definitely works as advertised
Josh V. (verified owner) –
Excellent construction as usual from Area 419. Looking forward to using this brake.
Trent L. (verified owner) –
Excellent manufacturing and quality fit and finish.
Scott R. (verified owner) –
Purchase for my Bergara target rifle. Have not shot it yet, but quality is exceptional. You get what you pay for!
James (verified owner) –
Very well made
Steve M. (verified owner) –
Expensive but worth it, works exceptionally well.
Randall Crutchfield (verified owner) –
Yeah you might think expensive but not really because you definitely get what you pay for. I put one on my Howa 6.5 Creedmoor and now it’s like I’m shooting a 22 LR. Seriously so I then put one on my Seekins 308 and now it’s like shooting a 223 that’s not over gassed. I’m very happy with Area 419 brakes. Their brakes highly reduce recoil without blowing it all in your face. Again I highly recommend..
Mike D. (verified owner) –
Mounted it per instructions and it performs as advertised. I already ordered another.
Walter Howe (verified owner) –
Fits great. No blast on shooter, and easy to install. Works so well that a friend of mine who owns a long-range shooting school is ordering some for his training rifles
Thantavan B. (verified owner) –
Works pretty dang good
Joseph Kuntzsch (verified owner) –
The hellfire brake is the brake all other brakes are compared to. 50 to 75 percent of all rifles at PRS matchs run the hellfire. And now I am going to be also
Dennis (verified owner) –
The Hellfire Match Self-Timing Muzzle Brake has helped me regain a lot of my control over my 308! NICE JOB 419
Nicklaus Wright (verified owner) –
Love this thing, gun didn’t move much before now it barely moves at all
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I haven’t had a chance to use this product as I haven’t accepted delivery of the current build. However, after having shot the regular Area 419 I only anticipate better performance than the best brake on the market currently provides.
Aaron W. (verified owner) –
Tamed the recoil down for the 8 year old boy to shoot his new 308.
Basil A. (verified owner) –
Hellfire match excels as advertised!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great
Steve Budak (verified owner) –
Looks great, I just wish it was DLC coated and had a flat milled onto the top so I could time it perfectly. I haven’t used it yet and am keen to see how it performs against my Terminator TT brakes. They have flats milled top and bottom (so timing is easy) and are painted in KG Gunkote (so you can throw them in CLR and they don’t turn pink).
They also have more aggressive port angles and therefore do an amazing job of reducing recoil.
If the Hellfire match is not as good as the Terminator TT, I’ll update my review and go back to the Terminator.
Whilst I like companies that produce great gear and have great customer service, I always base my choices in performance. I read forums but will buy everything I can afford and test it for myself. If it works, it stays. If it doesn’t work, it gets sold, donated or filed in the ‘round filing cabinet’ (bin).
So we will see if the Hellfire match lives up to my expectations. The lack of a flat for timing and the lack of a coating that is impervious to CLR does bug me though.
Time and use will tell.
Samuel (verified owner) –
Outstanding workmanship and excellent finish.
DAVID ASHI (verified owner) –
Awesome quality and performance! There are muzzle breaks and then there are Area 419 muzzle breaks! The best.
Clemente C. (verified owner) –
This brake is awesome. High quality and the finish is flawless. Easy to install.
Nathanael Rutter (verified owner) –
Brake works great. Reduced felt recoil by half. Self timing makes install a snap. Definitely would recommend
Glenn P. (verified owner) –
What a monster. Can a muzzle break be pretty. Well this is one freaking beautiful break. What an addition to the build.
Jon (verified owner) –
Put it on my 223 bolt gun. When I first pulled the trigger, I thought something had gone wrong. It went bang, but there was zero recoil. It felt like I was shooting 22LR.
Ken H. (verified owner) –
Love the design. Machining is excellent. Packaging worthy of the effort that went into the device.
Dustin (verified owner) –
I haven’t fired with this new attachment but it is very sturdy and well made.
Kurt K. (verified owner) –
An Immaculately machined product. Performs as a good brake should and with very little muzzle rise.
Greg (verified owner) –
Awesome product. Reduced my 3006 recoil to a bit more than a 22
Gudni Thor Frimannsson (verified owner) –
Got more than one, so that says it all.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
This brake works like they describe it. Another awesome product from Area 419.
Gustavo Muniz (verified owner) –
Easy to install and performs awesome.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great unit, replaced an Omni brake that blew dirt and grass into my eyes and mouth and down my shirt with every shot. Very minimal recoil, easy to stay on target.
Craig A. (verified owner) –
Installation is easy. The self timing feature really simplifies the process.
Bart (verified owner) –
Exceptionally easy to install, and tames recoil significantly, even on 230 grain 300 Win Mag loads. Easily as good as the sidewinder brake but with a smaller profile.
Keith F. (verified owner) –
It works better than the original
David H. (verified owner) –
Wow. This thing is fantastic! I took it to a PRS match a few days after I recieved it and I was very impressed. It felt like my gun was barely moving, to the point of where I could take a shot and know for sure it was on target and be moving to the next target before the round even made impact. Well done A419!
Kirk (verified owner) –
Love the Hellfire and the match is all that and more. You won’t be disappointed.
Josh S. (verified owner) –
Best break I’ve found
RICHARD B. (verified owner) –
ARE KIDDING ME! HOLY COW. I’D BUY ANOTHER IN A HEART BEAT! WISH I NEEDED ANOTHER I’D BUY ONE RIGHT NOW! THANKS ! BETTER THEN OTHERS I HAVE.
Kort B. (verified owner) –
Made the 6.5cm even tamer than already was. Was able to have good scope follow through even in my gas gun
Sean Riley (verified owner) –
Great addition in achieving match grade constancy and accuracy.
Maxim Kolbasko (verified owner) –
!!!
Craig Denison (verified owner) –
This does a great job in reducing recoil.
Kyle C. (verified owner) –
One of the best fitting easiest to use muzzle devices on the market
Donald T. (verified owner) –
Fit and finish were better than excellent…..absolutely superb/flawless. When you order the BEST, this is what you can expect in the Hellfire Match.
Joseph H. (verified owner) –
The brake works exactly as advertised. It mounts easily, times and tightens without slipping, and it reduces felt recoil really well without blasting the shooter. I look forward to trying the suppressor adapters in the future.
Thaddeus Faulkner (verified owner) –
Ordered on Friday at noon, and by noon the following Tuesday was installed on my Daniel Defense Delta 5. Fast shipping. Despite having not used it, after numerous reviews I am confident I made the right choice. Thanks Area 419!
Edward B. (verified owner) –
High quality, can’t wait to install
Brian S. (verified owner) –
Highest Quality brakes on the market, bar none.
Gary T. (verified owner) –
Muzzle break works great. Installed on 6.5 Creedmore. Very easy to install and remove for cleaning. Going to definitely buy a couple more for some other rifles.
David C. (verified owner) –
Replaced an existing Muzzle Break with the new Hellfire Match Self-Timing Muzzle Brake hoping for reduction in muzzle flip and felt recoil. It does both very pleased with my purchase.
Matt (verified owner) –
Great recoil reduction and minimal concussion at the shooter
John Jeffreys (verified owner) –
Very nice brake, easy to remove, has a edge over the last generation.
John S. (verified owner) –
Extremely efficient muzzle brake. Greatly reduced recoil and muzzle rise is almost non-existent.
Patrick Johnson (verified owner) –
I was able to spot impact that I previously could not. I am very happy I made the choice to buy the Hellfire Match
Brad W. (verified owner) –
Great quality with outstanding packaging.
Steve R. (verified owner) –
Really like area 419 products quality is always top notch
Gilbert Simonton (verified owner) –
I have replaced almost every break I have with a 419 they are the best break I’ve used
Mauro (verified owner) –
I believe you perfected an already great brake. Well done!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Excellent
Becky Moore (verified owner) –
Everything else was fine but this equipment and it’s design is outstanding. I have a Hellfire on my Vudoo as well as this Hellfire Match, both are great. I bought the Omega can adapter and switch out is, well, fast. Both look clean when installed. Keep up the good work. I will be back for more.
Stephen M. (verified owner) –
This website transaction and delivery was excellent as has been all transactions I have had with Area 419. The Hellfire, uni adapter, and suppressor mount are just works of machining art…again, like all 419 products I have bought.
I def will do business with them again and I’m very pleased with this brake/adapter purchase.
Ryan (verified owner) –
Best brake in the business. I loved it so much I replaced a regular hellfire with another match after shooting this one.
Mervyn (verified owner) –
Brake looks really good.
Richard Miller (verified owner) –
Easy to install. Works very well.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I’m glad I don’t own anymore rifles that need a brake. Although I may try to sell the other brakes I have on current rifles and replace them all with hellfire matches. 🤔🤣
Neil H. (verified owner) –
Outstanding fit and finish… This is the 7th Area419 brake I’ve purchased… That should tell you all you need to know…
Chad –
Absolutely everything i want in a brake. The lack of muzzle blast and sound at the shooters ear is amazing. Recoil is virtually nothing on my 6.5 Creed PRS rifle.
Steve (verified owner) –
Fit and finish are flawless. Offers a significant reduction in felt recoil over a competitors 4 port brake. My 6.5 PRC feels like a .223 now.
Charles F. (verified owner) –
I have an earlier version on my muzzle loader which they bored out to accept a .45. None better.
Erik Hansen (verified owner) –
Easy to install, noticeable improvement in recoil reduction.
Justin P. (verified owner) –
It made my 14lbs rifle shoot softer than my 19lbs rifle with a competitive company’s brake. I am curious to see how well it will do on the heavier rifle?
Keith S. (verified owner) –
Love the Hellfire brakes. Have many; only ones I use. This is my first Match brake and it performs better.
Zackary D. (verified owner) –
Works great as expected! Both my 6.5 creed and 6bra have greatly reduced recoil.
Chance L. (verified owner) –
Best brake on the market!
Timothy Simonsma (verified owner) –
Excellent product and excellent workmanship. Holds on target better than my Hellfire brakes from the past.
mike C. (verified owner) –
Works great
Eddie Fosnaugh (verified owner) –
A++++ all the way around…like usual:-)
Bret Muller (verified owner) –
Great improvement over standard Hellfire. I shoot 6mm creedmoor and noticed right off definitely helps with the recoil. Also easier on the shooter. Does everything they said it would. I love it
Tom T. (verified owner) –
Total difference in timing recoils and able to do follow up shots much easier! Looks of industrial snd high quality
Eric C. (verified owner) –
Awesome brake, design, fit and finish are incredible.

Jeremy S. (verified owner) –
The new 4 chamber Hellfire Match Break has a noticeable reduction in felt recoil over my standard 3 chamber Hellfire. Glad I purchased it.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
It’s kind of amazing what this does. Makes my Ruger PR 6.5 CM feel like my 22 rifle. The lack of recoil improves every aspect of my target shooting – great product!!!
Damon (verified owner) –
Great product, very happy thanks for getting it to me in Australia!
