This was one of our most requested upgrades for the Autotrickler setup, and we aren’t ones to ignore what our customers want! So we give you the billet aluminum replacement platen for the A&D FX series scales for the Autotrickler setup.
Compatible up to V3. NOT compatible with V4 Auto-Trickler unit.
Features-
– Funnels our Billet Powder Cup perfectly to center where it drops in a small notch to hold in place
– Center of gravity is re-aligned to concentric with the load cell taking into account the weight of our powder cup handle
– Installs into the scale exactly the same as the factory platen using the tapered spud and square locating boss
– A must have when using our Autothrow housing and billet straw
– Machined from a solid 2.3 pound billet of 6061-T6 Aluminum
– Weighs 0.208 pounds (similar or less than the factory trays)

Tray itself is good quality. Needs to be re designed to cover full platen or come with platen cover so kernels and debris dont accumulate there. Other than that it’s a great idea for easy self centering.

I like the look and the craftsmanship of this piece and it does serve a good purpose for placing the 419 powder cups however it hasn’t proved to be worth the upgrade (to me) as of yet. The scale drifts and the powder charge can be inconsistent with it during trickle up. Went back to the original scale base for now, maybe I’ll give it a shot again some day.

Outstanding piece of work. It fits perfectly on A&D 120i, V3 AutoTrickler set up. I use it pointed to the right, towards the Trickler. This way I only have one breeze panel open, which helps with any possible drafts. Fits perfectly with the Area 419 cup. Just slides in, stops in the slotted area, the V3 does it’s thing. I would absolutely recommend this thing. Area 419 builds great quality products. That’s why I keep buying more, and more stuff from them.

The two layer tray that comes with the A&D is pretty low quality and has a quirk of, if you accidently hit the tray with the powder cup going in and you separate the two layers by just a little bit, you can throw your scale off by 0.02 to 0.04. It has always been a pain. The Self Centering Tray locks into place and simply doesn’t move. Great upgrade.
