Following the success of our CZ455 scope base, and the release of the new CZ457, we knew we had to provide a true custom base for this great line of rifles.
This design, made from a single piece of T7075 aluminum and machined in house on our Haas VF4SS 4 axis machining center is designed to slide onto the dovetail and be clamped down with a force that is consistent across the entire rail – and strong enough that your CZ457 will never budge it. Bases will come Type III black hardcoat anodized and will come with the necessary wrench for torquing the clamp screws.
Recommended torque spec: 22 in/lb (2.5 NM)
Our rail comes in a 30MOA cant as it is meant for guys pushing their 22LRs out to 300+ yards. It will also be available in a 15MOA configuration. We added real estate to the front of the rail to allow you to move your optic forward. This helps on higher powered scopes when coupled with the smaller stocks that are normal on a rimfire. This base is a little taller than the popular set-screw models (our rail adds a total of about 1/2″ of height to the dovetail) but by using lower height rings/mounts you should be able to retain a similar over bore height and maintain a good cheek weld without any riser.
Since we are good guys, and the machine would already be working in the area, we decided to build in a level to the base. The material is flared out in the area to provide optimum viewing when in the prone position without much movement if any.

I have one of these Area 419 rails on a CZ 455 and now my CZ 457. The fit on the action is extremely close tolerance and the profile contours make it look like part of the receiver itself. Personally, I would prefer it without the bubble level, especially if it was $20 less. Fact is though, for a model specific, more or less custom rail adapter w/choice of MOA angle, it seems like a bargain to me. Obviously, with this type of rail, I am able to use several types of optics with quick release mounts for different types of shooting as well. Only requires a couple shots to verify point of aim zero after optic changes.

I would prefer a zero-MOA option since I’m shooting indoor .22 competition, but scopes have enough internal adjustment that it’s not really necessary. Opening over breach is big enough for single loading rounds and picking out empties if they don’t eject all the way.

Very well made! The bubble level is a huge added benefit. I purchased this item with high expectations and a solid recommendation from a buddy of mine. I can honestly say i was not at all disappointed. Even before tightening the set screws, the base slides onto the dovetail of the cz457 snugly while still being easy to “tap” into place with the palm of your hand. I purchased the “bundle” that included the bolt knob and, while I haven’t installed it, it seems very well made, has a good weight to it, and the finish promotes a solid grip with gloves on. Whereas the finish on the stock bolt knob, feels a little more “slippery”. Overall I am super impressed with the fit and finish, and have confidence that anything I purchase from area419 in the future will be of the same high quality. Now, if only they could get the stickers back in stock! Lol.

The rail mount is perfect. However, the one of the screws stripped immediately (I used an in/lb torque wrench). Thankfully, the screw is still in the mount, and in the event that it backs itself out, I can always get a replacement screw and apply threadlocker; It’s just inconvenient.
Ultimately, I do not want that hiccup to overshadow the great product. The rail is sturdy and the built-in leveler has been a great aid when mounting my scope and ensuring the rifle is level when mounted on something. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a good rail.

The Area 419 50MOA base along with the 110MOA elevation travel on my Arken EP5-25×56 scope with Low .092″ rings worked out perfectly on my CZ 457 Pro Varmint.
The Area 419 base slid onto my dovetail rail and tightened down perfectly.
I was able to take this rig down to a 25 yd zero close to the bottom of my elevation adjustment knowing that I had most all of the 110MOA in the scope to use.
I have @ 1/4″ clearance between the scope and barrel
I hope this information helps others in their decisions for I couldn’t be more pleased in how it all worked out on my rifle.

Extremely tight fit to put on. I even wondered if I was doing it wrong since I couldn’t find any instructions or install guide anywhere. I did get it on and it works as it’s supposed to my intention was to keep as much vertical adjustment in my scope as I could and still sight in at 50 yards and be useable at 25. It did it.

Love these pinch-on style pic-rail bases. The only way to mount a scope on a CZ rimfire. Only issue is older eyes have trouble seeing the level inserted into the back. A lighter color fluid in the spirit level like yellow may help.

Other than 0.5 inches high, it is great. For me the only choice was lowest Burris XTRs in 1 inch high for ETR 22 LR adding 20 + 30 rail for 50 moa. This placed scope (Arken) about 0.33 inches too high or scope about 2.25 center to center of scope to bore. Area19 description alerts consumer, so not a complaint, just a suggestion for a lower one, maybe? The 30 moa rail fit and function are excellent. Definitely high quality and as advertised and better.

While the CZ457 Scope Base seems to be very well made, it was a EXTREMELY tight fit on my CS 457 I newly purchased.
Installation was difficult, stored the rifle at 30 F over night and warmed up the scope base in a water bath to about 180 F and still needed the help of a rubber mallet to “slide” the scope base on. On the other hands, I gather it will not go anywhere.
Now if only my new optics would be here already…

Well made product. Mounted 30MOA Rail on CZ 457 Pro Varmint 22. Fit & finish was snug, solid, & very nice. Used Warne 34mm Low Rings (PN 7220M) with Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56mm FFP Scope. Bottom of scope Objective rests approximately 1/4” above barrel, which is a little higher than I wanted, but by using a Matthews Fabrication Adjustable Kydex Cheek Riser Kit, I was able to get a solid cheek weld at the correct height that is comfortable. No issues getting a 50yard Zero with the above combination. Have yet to try beyond 100yds, but expect I will max out both Turret & Reticle around 480yds with ammo I’m using. Could gain more elevation in turret if I removed the zero stop, but I don’t see the need, as I will likely not shoot beyond 450 to 500yds, & can apply Kentucky Windage if needed. Very pleased so far!

I bought the 15 MOA Scope Rail for my new CZ 457 MTR. It’s a very nice piece of machine work and fit the CZ dovetail perfectly. When you consider that the Bolt Knob was only $15 extra the $100 for the rail seems very reasonable especially with the Bubble Level. I mounted a Vortex Viper 6-24X50 Scope for shooting toothpicks at 50yds.

Very high quality! Perfect fit and finish, mounting this to my 457 was a breeze. I followed the printed instructions and went right to town. I was skeptical at first for $100 but after installation and zeroing I’m extremely happy and would buy again. If you are looking for a rail for your 457 the 30MOA amount will get you out to 300yds easily. I also paired this with the add on bolt knob, absolutely love the way this thing feels. Knob was easy to swap just heat up the factory knob with a torch or lighter to loosen the thread locker and screw on the 419.

This is a very high-quality made rail. I’ve checked the bubble level with a digital level and it is dead spot on. It’s nice being able just to look down and your levels right there.

This thing is excellent. Slides right onto the rail and torques with no issues. The machining is spot on and what I expect from Area 419. This was my first purchase from these guys but won’t be the last. Also, highly impressed with the bolt knob I was able to add for $15. At first, I got it just to differentiate my gun from my little brother. Wasn’t crazy about how it looked, but I took the original off and threaded the new bolt knob on and I had a true Oh My GOD! moment. The thing was slicker than snot on a door knob. From now on, I will be getting these bolt knobs when I can for guns I own.
