When we set out to build this we wanted to solve the problem of CZ455 scope bases that slide around over time. The simple dovetail/set screw bases work for some people but we weren’t happy.
This design, made from a single piece of T7075 aluminum and machined in house on our Haas VF4SS 4 axis machining center is designed to slide onto the dovetail and be clamped down with a force that is consistent across the entire rail – and strong enough that your CZ455 will never budge it. For added security we have added a recoil lug at the rear of the base, creating a mechanical stop for the base. Bases will come Type III black hardcoat anodized and will come with the necessary 2.5mm wrench for torquing the clamp screws. Recommended torque spec: 22 in/lb (2.5 NM)
Our rail comes in a 30MOA cant as it is meant for guys pushing their 22LRs out to 300+ yards. We also added real estate to the front of the rail to allow you to move your optic forward. This helps on higher powered scopes when coupled with the smaller stocks that are normal on a rimfire. This base is a little taller than the popular set-screw models (our rail adds a total of about 1/2″ of height to the dovetail) but by using lower height rings/mounts you should be able to retain a similar over bore height and maintain a good cheek weld without any riser.
Since we are good guys, and the machine would already be working in the area, we decided to build in a level to the base. The material is flared out in the area to provide optimum viewing when in the prone position without much movement if any.
These rails can also be used with the CZ 452, excluding the “American” model, which has a differently-sized dovetail.
Current production rails do not have an opening down the middle of the rail, it is solid.

Application: Marlin Model 60. Looks like it was made for this receiver. The fit was extremely tight which required heat and judicious use of a plastic mallet. I’d attribute this to the dovetail on the Marlin. The base looks great and does NOT move.

Excellent fit for my Kimber 82G. If you’re handy with an air grinder cutoff wheel and a small triangular file you can trim the underside down so the curvature of the 82G dovetail doesnt hit, it will fit and lines up likes its supposed to. This design is way better than competitors.

Rail slides on easily, fits tight, looks awesome and functions great. It gives me a lot more room for scope mounting than the stock rail. The 30 MOA rail didn’t give me any problems with bottoming out the scope. I was able to zero at 100 yards with a full rotation to spare on the turret.

I had meant to get the CZ 457 30MOA Scope Base, but Area 419 quickly exchanged it without any problems. I like the bubble level built into the base even though I have one mounted to the scope tube. The one on the scope tube is a catch point. Will use both for now but may just remove the one on the scope tube.

The machining is spot on and the built-in bubble level is great for leveling during scope install and putting the whammy on the targets, or whatever gets in the way on the farm. I have had 2 other rails for my CZ. They all work, but this one is a step above in quality. The machining is perfect and pictures don’t show the quality adequately. The level and recoil lug put it over the top.
