Area 419 is always looking for ways to improve existing products when we are not developing new technologies. With the rapid growth in popularity of ARCA rails in precision rifle, we saw a need to improve this great dovetail technology to something that could be mechanically locked in place instead of just friction. If you have ever tried using a Barricade stop on an existing ARCA rail, you’ve probably also seen it slide under much pressure.
Introducing the ARCALOCK Dovetail Rail System *Rail is only locking with an Area 419 clamp*
Rail Features:
– Serrated rail sides interface with our proprietary clamp design to mechanically lock it in place so no movement is possible. Serrations are not sharp, will not damage bags or your hands.
– Rail is backwards compatible with standard Arca accessories, but will not be locking without our clamp
– Rail is 12″ long giving you the entire length of the stock forend for attachments. The best part is, it still only weighs in at a paltry 4.1oz
– Made to the RRS 1.5″ Dovetail Standard, so you can be sure lever clamps will work
– No sharp edges. Every corner is radiused, and every edge is chamfered on the machine. This takes longer to make, but it is the only right way.
– Type 3 Hard Coat anodized for additional durability.
– Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum
– Made in-house here in the USA from USA sourced Aluminum on USA made CNCs
– M-LOK Slots on underside of rail also allow you to attach any M-LOK accessories to the 419 Rail

This product here is part of a 2-piece order I made and it’s now official. Area 419 is to be my standard for ARCA Rails wherever the application is needed or useful. If you run an MDT ESS with the 15” Forend, you can get this Dovetail but know that you’ll be better off ordering the Universal 10” or 12” ARCALOCK Dovetail instead. If you’re competent in Gunsmithing like I am by hobby and want a more solid mount-up to your MLOK Forend, this is the way to go but you’ll need to make two minor modifications to make it fit your Forend. If you’re running the MDT ESS Chassis with the 15” Forend, you’ll see what I mean. I’m about to buy another one of this product and clamp for my 6.5 Creedmoor that I’m nearing completion on. It also has the same MDT Chassis but color reversed. This one completes my Bergara B-14 R .22LR. I have a spare MDT LSS-XL Gen 2 Chassis that will also be getting one of these without any modifications needed. There’s a bottom line here that I must say. The quality of this product is the best there is regardless.

I purchased the 12” ARCALOCK rail for my Seekins HIT. Since the Hit Pro from Seemins wasn’t available I decided to purchase this rail to use in place and honestly it’s worked out perfectly. The fitment is great, really light, doesnt have any weird gaps on the chassis. I would recommend this for the Seekins HIT rifle. That being said, it would work in many other setups.

The rail itself is fantastic. If its destination is a designated long range gun, absolute money. Run tripod or bipod where ever they need to be. My only issue with it is really my own hands. It went on an all-purpose work SPR that has to be able to work CQB as well as long distance. With my little baby hands, it’s hard to really control the rifle with the full rail. Going to wind up putting it on something else and make a hybrid setup with two smaller sections on each side of a foregrip for the work gun. So, big picture, just keep in mind intended purpose and ergonomics with what size to get.

As a LEO Sniper used to a hog saddle affixed to a tripod clamping to my Remington 700; using this rail directly clamped to the tripod and bolted to the MLOK rail on my AR10 is a night and day difference. Going from wobble and sway to a locked platform built my confidence in tripod shooting and increased our practical application. Unlike other rails this one is light as a feather and offers the ability to mount MLOK attachments without interference and even allows mounting of MLOK attachments along all 7 rail slots which I did not realize from the description and photos. I will be adding this rail to my other precision platforms in the near future.

I added the 12″ M-LOK Rail to my Bravo stock. This came out very nice. A little Dremel work to change the stock’s pivot stud hole to a M-Lok slot, and the fit was perfect. Note, I straddled the spacing between the stock’s slots with the rail’s alignment pads and screw holes. Not the original design intent, but it works great.

My main shooting discipline is 3 Gun. I moved into open class 2 years ago and a buddy recommended I move to Arca swiss interface for my rifle. I picked up an AREA 419 Arcalock rail and absolutely love it. Switching from bag to bipod or tripod is superfast. Disengaging and dropping an item on the move is 4x faster than dropping from a 1919-pic rail. With the locking feature, bipods don’t loosen or slide like on some other Arca swiss rails. I now have Arcalock rails on 5 different rifles.
