With the rise in popularity of rimfire among the PRS community, we set out to offer a loaded, yet affordable option in the tactical 22 space. When CZ-USA released the new 457 line of rifles, we knew they would be nice. The first time we saw and felt the MTR, the quality and value shocked us. When we got behind the rifle though, we knew the rifle was going to fit our 22 trainer project.

- 5rd CZ 22lr Magazine
- Area 419 Scope Base for 457, in either 15MOA or 30MOA
- 14″ Universal ARCALOCK Rail
- Area 419 Bolt Knob
This package is ready to shoot, and in our experience it’s ready to shoot WELL. In testing, we have been able to consistently produce sub-moa groups, often finding groups in the 1/2 MOA range with quality ammo like Federal Gold Medal Match. We will continue to test ammos and post updates on accuracy (someone has to do the hard work of pulling the trigger) so be sure to follow along on our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

This is my first CZ and as another reviewer noted, the trigger and bolt could be improved. The bolt is a bit stiff and trigger (after adjusting) is still too heavy. I have 300+ rounds through it and groups are starting to tighten up. Worth every penny.

Awesome Rifle, with SK Rifle Match @ 50 yds, .320” and .680” @100 yds., out of the box. Arca Lock rail is perfect for the bipod attachment, and was perfectly Installed. I only wish they included a 10 round magazine. Action torque set at 25 lbs. for my rifle gave the best results.

The CZ457 is a competition gun and probably the best entry level option. All PRS .22 and NRL .22 users will be adding a canted rail, a larger bolt knob and some way to attach bags, barrier stops and bipods. Many will run a suppressor too. The “fully loaded” CZ 457 from Area 419 includes a 15 or 30 MOA rail, a threaded barrel, tactical bolt knob and the ARCA rail. All quality components. Maybe the best. Add a scope and a 13 round magazine (if you can find one) and you are having fun with .22 competitions. I have shot .50 BMG, .338 LM, 300 win mag, 6.5 CM, and .308 to 1000 yards and further. It is considerably less expensive and just as challenging and fun to shoot .22 PRS style at multiple targets to 300 yards. This weapon from Area 419 gets you 90% into that game. Recommended.

So far it’s a solid shooter. I haven’t gotten the claimed 1/2 MOA results yet, but I’ve only got 300 rounds though it with 3 different ammos, so I have a lot of testing left to do. It’s shooting pretty consistently in the .3s at 50 yards, and a 6” plate at 250 is almost boring. It seems to like CCI SV which is a nice surprise. The only negative in my opinion is the stock. The grip is too close to the trigger, and the comb is too low, even with the lowest rings I could find. I’ve got a KRG bravo on the way to fix that. If they sold this as a barreled action or with a bravo, it would be 5 stars for sure.

You can’t find anything better for the money. If you were looking to get into 22 PRS look no farther this is the gun. The threading job is amazing. When you thread the thread protector on you can’t even tell that it’s threaded. Having a full size bolt knob is a very nice touch because it simulates a centerfire exactly. The 30 moa scope base make it perfect for 50 yard zero. Without using that much elevation in your scope. The bubble level is spot on I have checked it with a digital gauge and it is perfectly level. Then on top of all of that you get the Arca rail with the barricades stop. Trust me when I say if you buy this you will not be disappointed.
