Following the success of our CZ455 and 457 scope bases, it only made sense for us to begin to roll out bases for Anschutz rifles.
This design, made from a single piece of T7075 aluminum and machined in house on our Haas VF4SS 4 axis machining center is designed to slide onto the dovetail and be clamped down with a force that is consistent across the entire rail – and strong enough that your rimfire will never budge it. Bases will come Type III black hardcoat anodized and will come with the necessary wrench for torquing the clamp screws.
Recommended torque spec: 22 in/lb (2.5 NM)
Our rail comes in a 30MOA cant as it is meant for guys pushing their 22LRs out to 300+ yards or using optics with a minimum of 60MOA internal elevation, zeroing at 50y. We added real estate to the front of the rail to allow you to move your optic forward. This helps on higher powered scopes when coupled with the smaller stocks that are normal on a rimfire. This base is a little taller than the popular set-screw models (our rail adds a total of about 1/2″ of height to the dovetail) but by using lower height rings/mounts you should be able to retain a similar over bore height and maintain a good cheek weld without any riser.
Since we are good guys, and the machine would already be working in the area, we decided to build in a level to the base. The material is flared out in the area to provide optimum viewing when in the prone position without much movement if any.

I purchased this for an Anschutz 1451 Achiever. It fits very nicely! It also works well on an Anschutz 64MS. Both of these rifles eject upward which complicates clearing in timed events. Both are also no longer manufactured so I can understand why no company variant might come along.

Very high quality. Works on my 1972 model 54 match 1411.

Outstanding customer service for a superior product. The Anschutz rifle I purchased last year came with the 30MOA Area 419 scope rail. For some unknown reason, the rail started to slide after some heavy use. I use a rather large Schmidt and Bender CMII scope for Rimfire F class matches. When I consulted the Area 419 crew, they immediately shipped a replacement part. I had it in my hands the next day and was able to shoot an excellent match. Problem was fixed completely. What more can you ask for in terms of customer support! I have a significant number of Area419 products and they all perform flawlessly.

A bit pricy, but quality is impeccable.

Very cool.
I installed the 15 MOA rail ( on my new Anschutz 1761 .22lr ) by first bumping it along the dovetail grooves with the palm of my hand until it was almost in place, then gently tapping a rubber hammer to micro align it with the ejection area.
Perfect.
I torqued the four SIDE screws to the recommended 22 in/lbs.
A big reason I bought this 419 rail instead of another brand is because of those side screws. Side screws are so much better than having top screws digging into the top of the dovetail. The side screws on the 419 rail don’t touch the rifle’s 11mm dovetail. Therefore, there is no damage to the round-top dovetail.
I’m super glad that Area 419 decided to make a rail for my 1761, giving me so many more options for scope rings.
I mounted a scope with a large objective lens, so this rail works extremely well.
Awesome purchase!

A while back 419 was gracious enough to give me the measurements of the scope rails they make so I could possibly use them on other rifles. By the title you can see this one fits a 1761 Anschutz. The overall measurements would work for my Sako 72P Biathlon with a little massaging with a file to widen out the dovetail part of the bracket. The dovetail on the Sako was about .030″ wider than the Scope Base. It fits and works perfect and makes it so you can put more modern scopes on it with more flexibility to make them work. I could have tapped it on with a mallet but now you dont have to tap. It slides right on.

I fitted this to my 1416HB. As mentioned by Kevin above, I did have the cycle the bolt, ‘smartly’ otherwise there were occasional failures to eject the spent case. I’m very happy with this product and would definitely purchase again.

As we all know everything could be less expensive it fit my model 54 Anshutz target competition rifle with slight modification due to the fact that my rifle was manufactured in the 1960’s
Terry Kiley (verified owner) –
Great quality and fit. The only problem it makes the scope to high off the bore even with th lowest rings. My gun is an anschutz 1761.

Top quality product, very well made.

High quality

Great for mating new optics to old rifles
Kevin W Huber (verified owner) –
Fits my Anschutz just fine – But – I wish the area around the ejection port area was machined open as the anschutz ejects upward and it does cause failures to eject unless the bolt is worked smartly.

A little pricey , but a great product. Very happy with it . This made my third Area 419 rail . I have one on 2 of my CZ 457 22lr rifles .

Looks ok.

I would like to see a longitudinal cylindrical relief cut below the top to allow more clearance for scope oculars and more flexibility in moving the scope forward.
Anthony Conti (verified owner) –
Quality rail, however need to make a slimmer version as this one adds too much height, even with low rings.
Mohammed al-hwyty (verified owner) –
Yes, a good and solid product
Donavon Johnson (verified owner) –
Love the quality.

The anschutz 1861 has a cross slot for an added slip stop. Unfortunately the rear clamp screw prevented me from drilling a set screw to fit in the slot. The fit and finish is great though. I would purchase another one of these if I were to get another anschutz.
