Actions are set up in lathe in a coaxially adjustable jig, they are then dialed to within 0.0002″ of parallel with lathe spindle. Action face is measured for runout and recorded. Action face is then squared off with single point tool as little as is required. Lug abutments are faced off, also as little as possible as to not throw off extraction. Finally, action threads are SINGLE POINT CUT anywhere from 0.010-0.015″ deeper to make them completely concentric with bolt raceway.
Service also includes bolt truing when using a factory bolt. This is simply cutting the bolt face perpendicular to the bolt body and facing the rear of the lugs slightly.
IMPORTANT: Unless specifically noted, services do not include the product to be altered. For instance, an action truing does not include an action and a barrel chambering does not include the cost of a barrel. These items are available for purchase, or can be shipped to Area 419 for service.
